1. Introduction

SendWay ("we", "us", "our") operates the shipping platform at sendway.co.uk. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using SendWay, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, company name, and role.
  • Store credentials: API keys and access tokens for your ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, etc.) — stored encrypted and used only to import orders and sync tracking.
  • Courier credentials: account numbers and API keys for your courier accounts — used only to generate shipping labels.
  • Order data: customer names, shipping addresses, phone numbers, and order contents imported from your connected stores.
  • Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, and device/browser information collected via analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to import orders from your stores, generate shipping labels via your courier accounts, sync tracking numbers back to your stores, send service notifications, process subscription payments, and improve the platform. We never sell your data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with: (a) your courier providers, to generate labels; (b) your ecommerce platforms, to sync tracking; (c) Stripe, to process payments; (d) analytics providers (Google Analytics) under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements; and (e) authorities when legally required.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we delete order data within 90 days and account data within 12 months, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand usage. Analytics cookies only load after you give consent via the cookie banner.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Courier and store credentials are encrypted with AES-256. Access is restricted to authorised personnel and audited.
